<< Slow Dance >>
for Gide Loyrette Nouel

<<Slow Dance>> is a 3-panel video installation for Gide Loyrette Nouel's global headquarters in Paris. The work is the winner of Prix Gide Beaux-Art de Paris 2021, in collaboration with Paris-based artist Kong Shengqi.
The structure of the work is inspired by a video installation art, 24 Hour Psycho (1993), by British artist Douglas Gordon. <<Slow Dance>>, consisting of three 45s videos, runs in the range of 3 to 7 frames per second; such manipulation allows footage of different paces to merge coherently. It also creates a visual and poetic transition between footage. We show the world moving like a dance with the sweet melody visualized by the enchantment of jellyfish.
