New York Subway
Service Change
Graphic Communication
This research examines the existing communication of service changes in the New York subway system and explores a solution to tackle the problem through the lens of communication design.
The goal is to create a simplified and unified design system for the service change communication to the riders. The project is under two design principles - pragmatic and actionable. That is why the design follows the MTA Graphic Standards Manual, and I have interviewed graphic designer Mr. Peter Joseph, whose works cover mass transits including the MTA, for his guidance.
This is a capstone research project of graduate study.
